The trophy presentation ceremony was held today, graced by State Sports Department (DSYS) director Deepankar Mohapatra as chief guest. NITA Football Academy received the top prize of Rs 1 lakh, while runners-up Sports Odisha were given Rs 50,000.
DSYS joint-secretary Bijayananda Nayak, deputy-secretary Amit Kumar Nayak, Football Association of Odisha (FAO) vice-presidents Dillip Kumar Sahoo, Md Shahid Jabbar, joint-secretary Biswa Ranjan Gharei and treasurer Bhakta Ballav Das were present on the occasion.
Organised jointly by DSYS and FAO, Odisha Womens League 2025, featured 11 teams and a total of 55 matches. The tournament, which commenced at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar earlier on January 8, witnessed 10 matches before a long break started from January 14 due to national and international engagements.
The league resumed on March 20 after a gap of 65 days. The opening ceremony was graced by DSYS Deputy Secretary Sonali Chand as chief guest. FAO secretary Asirbad Behera and Nita Football Academy chairman Subrat Das were present on the occasion.
