Odisha FC defeated Jamshedpur FC 3-2 in their 24th and last match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur tonight. With this win, Odisha FC climbed to the sixth spot with 33 points in their kitty. But their hopes of making it to the playoffs remained uncertain.
Odisha FC are now reliant on Mumbai City FC, placed seventh with 33 points. The Islanders will need to lose their remaining two matches for the Juggernauts to remain in the reckoning for the sixth spot. Out of their 24 matches, Odisha FC won eight, drew nine and lost seven, scoring 44 goals and conceding 37 in the process.
It may be noted that, out of the six playoff berths, five have already been booked by Mohun Bagan Super Giant, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC.
