Odisha rode on a hat-trick by Kamini Mallik to beat Rajasthan 5-2 in a Group-D league match of the Sub-junior Girls National Football Championship (Tier-2) at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh today. Captain Ritu Badaik and Khundongbam Ambalika scored the other two goals for the winners.
This was the second straight win for the Odisha girls who secured a berth in the semifinals. Earlier in their opening match, captain Badaik scored a hat-trick to power Odisha to a 4-1 win over Telangana 4-1 at the same venue.
A total of 15 teams are competing in this championship. Team will play league matches in four groups and the four group winners will qualify for semifinals. The two semifinals will be held on September 14 and 15, followed by the final on September 17.
