The Odisha girls team, fielded by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), qualified for the final, winning three matches and losing one. In their two league matches, Odisha girls beat Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 10-0, but lost to Bihar 0-19.
After securing a berth in the knock-out stage, Odisha trounced Rajasthan 27-0 in the quarterfinals and Chhattisgarh 36-0 in the semifinals. Sahadev Majhi and Suchita Tirkey accompanied the Odisha team as coach and manager respectively.
The 12-member Odisha girls team featured seven from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar; three from Baripada Higher Secondary School, Mayurbhanj, and two from Balasore.
