Local boy Kaamlesh Rath bagged a double by winning both singles and doubles titles in the AITA-OTA Talent Series U-14 Tennis Tournament which concluded at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex here today.

Student of Unit-VIII DAV Public School, Kaamlesh clinched double crown, defeating statemate Lalit Tudu in the hard-fought singles final 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Earlier in the semifinals, fifth seed Kaamlesh beat fourth seed Subhranil Barman (West Benal) 6-0, 6-4, while unseeded Lalit upset third seed Biprarshi Biswas (West Bengal) 6-1, 6-0.

Kaamlesh emerged doubles champion with Odisha partner Debabrata Pradhan when they defeated West Bengal pair of Sagnik Mitra and Biprarshi Biswas 4-6,7-6(1), (10-6) in the title clash.

Tournament Director B K Das handed over the trophies to the finalist in presence of
Tournament Referee Jatin Batsya and OTA Manager Prakash Pattnaik. A total of 33 players from West Bengal and host Odisha participated in this zonal tournament.

Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) organised the tournament, under the auspices of All India Tennis Association (AITA). Title winner runners-up gained 15 and 12 AITA ranking points respectively.
