Thailand bagged a double by winning both the men’s and women’s doubles titles on the second day of the 1st Asian Petanque Championship at KIIT University here today. Cambodia finished runners-up in both the events.

Doubles event will be followed by singles and mixed doubles. The three-day championship, featuring eight countries, is being organised by Petanque Federation of India, under the auspices of Asian Boules Sport Confederation.

RESULTS:

Women’s Doubles: Semifinals: Cambodia beat Chinese Taipei 13-5; Thailand beat Malaysia 13-6. Final: Thailand beat Cambodia 13-5.

Men’s Doubles: Semifinals: Thailand beat Chinese Taipei 13-7; Cambodia beat Malaysia 13-2. Final: Thailand beat Cambodia 13-6.
