City teenagers Shakti Ray and Abhilipsa Rath bagged a double each, while Orissa made a clean sweep of all the seven titles in the KDTA-AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Bhubaneswar Club in Bhubaneswar today. Shakti of Gurukul Tennis Academy emerged champion in under-12 boys singles and under-16 boys doubles with Adwithiya Pattnaik as his partner. Abhilipsa completed her double by adding the under-16 girls singles crown to the under-16 girls doubles title she had won with Komal Vishakha yesterday. Kendriya Vidyalaya student Abhilipsa also came closer to a treble, but missed it by going down to Tanmayee Pattnaik in the under-16 girls singles final. It was the maiden AITA title for Tanmayee, who exhibited good temperament and technique in the tournament. Orissa capped its sweep with Ansu Kumar Bhuyan emerging under-16 boys singles champion and Avilash Mishra claiming the under-12 boys doubles crown with Nishant Kumar as his partner. All the title winners earned five National ranking points each, while the runners-up got four points apiece. Inspector General of Police (Technical), Binay Behera, senior bureaucrat Rabi Mohapatra and host Khurda District Tennis Association president Madhusudan Padhi gave away trophies at the closing function. U-12 girls singles: Abhilipsa Rath bt Tanmayee Pattnaik 6-2, 6-2. U-16 girls singles: Tanmayee Pattnaik bt Abhilipsa Rath 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3). U-12 boys doubles: Avilash Mishra-Nishant Kumar bt Sanil Jagtiani-Akshat Agarwal 7-5, 6-2. U-16 boys doubles: Adiwytya Pattnaik-Shakti Raty bt MMK Ramineni-Purushottam Dash 6-2, 6-1. U-16 girls doubles: Komal Vishakha-Abhilipsa Rath bt Koyal Mishra-Tamanna Pattnaik 4-1, 5-4 (7-3).
