Nishant lost in the preliminary round, while Surya went down in the round of 32 after getting a bye in the round of 64. Meanwhile, Mundir Sherazi (Kar), Shahbaz Khan (PSPB), Kunwardeep Singh (Pun), Aditya Agarwal (Mah), Vipin Premi (Del), Vidit Gawri (J&K), Varun Madan (Del) and Manjot Singh (Pun) booked the eight quarterfinals slots.
