A 44-member Orissa squad claimed the team title, bagging 42 medals in the 3rd East Zone Kickboxing Championship, which was held at SAI Complex, Kolkata on July 24 and 25. According a release from All Orissa Kickboxing Association today, the medals included 15 gold, 15 silver and 12 bronze. Bibhuti Bhusan Behera accompanied the squad as chief coach.
