DESCRIPTION:
*     A total of 38 teams would compete in the Ranji Trophy Championship for the season 2022-23.
*     Out of the 38 teams, 32 would compete in four Elite Group of eight teams each, while the remaiing six teams would battle it out in Plate Group.
*     Top two teams from all four Elite Groups would qualify for the quarterfinals, while the bottom two teams would be relegated to the Plate Group in 2023-24 season.
*     Odisha has been place in Elite Group-A along with Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda and Nagaland.
