*     The biggest multi-event domestic sporting showcase of India would be held after a gap of seven years.
*     The 35th edition was held in Kerala in 2015.
*     The 36th edition, which was supposed to be held in 2016, was postponed several times due to various reasons, including COVID-19.
*     The 36th edition would take place in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
*     Gujarat will host the National Games for the first time.
*     An estimated 7,000 athletes would take part across 36 sporting disciplines.
*     The Games would see participation from all 28 states and eight Union Territories.
*     Indigenous sports Mallakhamba and Yogasana have been included in the event roster in the coming National Games.
*     According to Football Association of Odisha, both the men and women football teams of the State have qualified to participate in the 36th National Games.
*     This is for the first time that both the men and women football teams of Odisha would be participating in the National Games.
*     Odisha men team reached quarterfinals in the last edition of Santosh Trophy and women team entered semifinals in the last edition of Senior Women National Football Championship.

Squash, 28. Table Tennis, 29. Taekwondo, 30. Tennis, 31. Triathlon, 32. Volleyball, 33. Weightlifting, 34. Wrestling, 35. Wushu, 36. Yogasana.
