HOST: Utkal Karate School, under the aegis of Odisha Weightlifting Association

DESCRIPTION:
*     This is the first time that Odisha will be hosting the Junior and Sub-junior National Weightlifting Championship.
*     The state earlier staged the Senior National Championship twice _ first time in 2007 at Utkal Karate School and last time in 2011 at Berhampur.
*     Competition will take place in a total of 30 weight categories of ensuing National championships.
*     A 30-member squad would represent Odisha in this championship.
*     A budget of Rs 30 lakh has been estimated for the staging of this championship.
*     Notorious elephant Shankar has been chosen as the mascot of the championship.

Sub-junior boys: Srikant Mallick, Bhaktiram Desti, Sumant Majhi, Ramachandra Hembram, Umakant Sethi, Rajendra Muduli, Santana Mallick, Raghunath Khila, Nandan Sahu, Lalit Kumar Sahu, Suttam Panchali.
