DESCRIPTION:
*     It is a seven-round Swiss tournament in which players of all ages can participate.
*     The tournament offers a total cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs, including Rs 30,000 for the champion.
*     Players occupying the first 60 positions will be given cash prizes.
*     Free dormitory accomodation will be provided to all out-station players on prior intimation. 
*     Entry fees are Rs 700 for general and Rs 500 for school children, women and veterans.
*     Last date for acceptance entry is September 30.
*     However, entries will be received at the venue with a late fee of Rs 300.
*     Two years’ ago, J Malleswar Rao of Andhra Pradesh won the title, while Ram Prakash of Punjab finished runner-up in this tournament.
