*     After functioning as the chief coach of Odisha Ranji team, he was replaced with Shiv Sundar
for the season 2017-2018.
*     He enjoys the pride of being the first Test, ODI cricketer and the only World Cupper from Orissa.
*     Bagged 10 wickets in six matches in the 1999 World Cup in England.
*     He reckons taking the wicket of Aussie captain Steve Waugh in the World Cup as the most memorable moment of his career.
*     During the World Cup, he enjoyed his visit to Buckingham Palace and the meeting with the Queen.
*     Beating Bengal on Bengal in a Ranji Trophy match in 2001 as another glorious moment of his career.
*     Similarly, bagging all ten wickets against South Zone in Duleep Trophy match at Agartala (Tripura) in 2001 was another mile stone of his career.
*     He along with Shiv Sundar Das passed the Level-I coaching course, conducted by Cricket Association of Bengal at Kolkata from July 31 to August 5, 2011. The duo`s names for the course were specaially recommended by National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.
*     Made his debut as a coach in the East Zone U-16 & U-19 residential camp for batting and fast bowling at Orissa Cricket Academy, Cuttack on September 21, 2011.
*     Replaced Michael Bevan as the coach of Orissa Ranji Trophy team for the season 2011-12 on October 27, 2011.
*     Nominated as a member of the Technical Committee of the BCCI for the third time on April 6, 2015.
