Three players from Odisha won a total of three medals in the Japan Para Badminton International, a BWF Level-2 tournament, which was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo from 8 to 13 September 2026.

Top seed Pramod Bhagat captured the gold medal in mens singles SL3 category, defeating second seed Umesh Vikram Kumar in the all-Indian final 21-16, 21-8. Bhagat also secured the silver medal in mens doubles SL3-SU5 category with Sukant Kadam as his partner. The draw of the mens singles SL3 event featured only eight players.

In the final, top-seeded Bhagat and Kadam lost to second-seeded Indonesian pair of Hikmat Ramdani and Fredy Setiawan 5-21, 15-21. Only four pairs participated in this event and the bronze medal was claimed by Odisha duo Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Kuldeep Mahakul after losing to the Indonesian combination of Ramdani and Setiawan in the semifinals 13-21, 11-21.
