Morning Club and OGP Club won the first two matches of the MGM FAO 2nd Division Football League, which commenced at the Bidanasi Ground in Cuttack today. Morning Club edged past Tarzan Club 2-1, while Club defeated Azad Hind Club 2-0.

The tournament is being organized by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO). Odia actor Sritam Das graced the opening ceremony as the distinguished guest. FAO vice-presidents Birendra Behera, Sahadev Rout, joint-secretary Biswaranjan Gharai and Odisha Fencing Association secretary Debendra Kumar Sahoo were present on the occasion.

RESULTS:

August 19 (Match 1): Morning Club (Madhab Naik 8, Amarnath Soren 60) beat Tarzan Club (Md Shoib 21) 2-1.

August 19 (Match 2): OGP Club (Papun Swain 16, Raees Ahmed 58) beat Azad Hind Club 2-0.
