Women sprinters Mousumi Roy (Bargarh) and Basanti Majhi (Cuttack) clinched a double each by winning respective second gold medal on the second and last day of the 1st Odisha State Sprint Athletics Competition at Reserve Police ground in Cuttack today.

Mousumi completed the double by adding 200m gold today to the 100m yellow metal she claimed yesterday. Basanti won her second gold medal today in U-20 womens 400m hurdles. She secured her first gold yesterday in 400m run.

KIIT sprinter Dondapati Mrutyam Jayaram, who settled with the mens 100m silver medal yesterday, won the bagged the gold medal in 200m today. The two-day competition is being conducted by Odisha Athletics Association.

400m hurdles: 1. Lusan Khamari, Bargarh (55.30s), 2. Roshan Khadia, Sundargarh (55.44s), 3. Akash Toppo, KIIT (58.26s).

GIRLS-20:
200m run: 1. Amisha Tirkey, Sundargarh (25.99s), 2. Neha Oram, Jajpur (26.26s), 3. Amisha Pr Lenka, Jagatsinghpur (27.73s).
400m hurdles: 1. Basanti Majhi, Cuttack (1:05.40s), 2. Manisha Lakra, Sundargarh (1:07.35s), 3. Mehek Kumari, Nabarangpur (1:11.11s).

MEN:
200m run: 1. Dondapati Mrutyam Jayaram, KIIT (21.94s), 2. Mahendra Santa, KIIT (22.32s), 3. Nobal Kumar Kissan, Jharsuguda (22.77s).
400m hurdles: 1. Laxmidhar Dehuri, Cuttack (54.96s), 2. Jyotiranjan Bala, Bhadrak (58.48s), 3. Abhisekh Swain, Cuttack (1:00.03s).

WOMEN:
200m run: 1. Mousumi Roy, Bargarh (24.97s), 2. Nibedita Mallick, Puri (29.59s), 3. Hemabati Ho, KIIT (30.09s).
400m hurdles: 1. Jeeta Patra, Sundargarh (1:10.23s).
