Leading Odisha industrialist Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been elected unopposed as the president of the Amateur Baseball Federation of India (ABFI) for a four-year term (2025-2029). Election for the office-bearers was held during the special general meeting of the national body at Hotel Rosewood in Bhubaneswar earlier on 30 December 2025.
This is the second time that Mohanty has been elected as the ABFI president. His first term lasted three years from 2016 to 2019. Currently Mohanty is also functioning as the president of Odisha Cricket Association even though his term ended in October 2025.
Arvind Kumar of Haryana was also elected unopposed as the ABFI secretary general after his opponent candidate Dillip of Goa withdrew his nomination. S Venkatesh (Tamil Nadu) won as treasurer, defeating Sweta (Telangana) by 33-13 votes.
