  Vijay Merchant Trophy: Odisha-Bihar match ends in draw

Odisha collected three points by taking a first-innings lead of 34 runs against Bihar in their three-day Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite Group-B match which ended in a draw at Scindia School Cricket Ground in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh today. Bihar settled with one point.

Among notable Odisha performers, bowlers Mrutyunjay Das, Himnish Sahu and Partha Sarathi Lenka took three or more wickets in an innings, while batters Om Prakash Das, Neil Nitin Mohanty, Tapan Gupta and Aurobinda Muduli hit a half-century each.

This was the second drawn game for Odisha and they now stand fourth in the group table with four points from three matches. Earlier, Odisha lost to Chhattisgarh by nine wickets after holding Rajasthan to a draw. Odisha will next face Punjab at MPCA Ground in Morena from December 23 to 25.
