A miserly haul of four wickets for four runs by left-arm orthodox spinner Sayed Tufayl Ahmad helped Odisha beat Vidarbha by 74 runs in their Elite Group-A match of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy U-19 One-Day Cricket Tournament at Gurugram Cricket Ground in Sultanpur today. This was the second win in three matches for Odisha, who earlier beat Andhra by three wickets after losing to Gujarat by four wickets.

Put into bat, Odisha mustered a competitive total of 218 and then dismissed Vidarbha for 144. Tufayl bowled a brilliant spell of seven overs, which featured four maidens. He was well supported by fellow left-arm spinner Piyus Ranjan Mantri, who picked up three wickets for three wickets for 23 runs.
