On their way to the quarterfinals, Vishakha and Bhabya beat Indonesia duo of Ghian Rizqy Sofyan and Salsabila Zahra Aulia 15-4, 13-15, 15-15 in Round-64 and Denmark combination of Aske Romer and Jasmin Willis 15-13, 15-11 in Round-32 after getting bye in the Round-128.

It will be a double delight for Rourkela shuttler Vishakha if she wins the semifinals tomorrow and ensures her second medal in the ongoing championship. She was part of the Indian team that created history by winning the bronze medal in the World Junior Mixed Team Championship, which concluded at the same venue earlier on October 11.

A trainee of Guwahati-based National Centre of Excellence, 18-year-old Vishakha played five mixed-doubles matches, won three and lost two with Chhabra and C Lalramsanga as her partners. Youngest daughter of Charo and Jayashree Toppo, Vishakha earlier trained at Odisha-SAI Regional Badminton Academy, Bhubaneswar.
