Odisha ended their campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 Tournament with yet another defeat as Mumbai mauled them by nine wickets in their seventh and last Elite Group-A match at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh today.

This was the fourth defeat for Odisha, who bowed out of the tournament from the league stage, finishing sixth among eight teams in Group-A with three wins and 12 points in their kitty. Mumbai and Andhra qualified for the Super League as the top two teams of the group.

Put into bat, Odisha made a respectable total of 167 for seven. Sandeep Pattanaik was the top scorer with 26-ball 31. However, a five-ball unbeaten 21 by Sarbeswar Mohanty proved to be most attractive. Mumbai won the match comfortably with 24 balls and nine wickets to spare, thanks to an unconquered 95 by Ajinkya Rahane.
