Odisha swimming international Pratyasa Ray bagged her second gold and third medal for Utkal University on the third day of the 5th Khelo India University Games (KIUG) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium Complex in Jaipur, Rajasthan today. She won her second gold in women 200m backstroke, clocking 2:29.51s.

Pratyasha captured one gold and one bronze in 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle yesterday. Among other Odisha universities winning medals today, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) secured one gold, silver and bronze each in swimming. Rithvika M pocketed the gold in women 50m breaststroke with a time of 34.95s.

Divyanka Dibyajyoti Pradhan won the silver in women 50m breaststroke, clocking 35.85s. This was the second medal for Divyanka, who bagged one bronze in 200m breaststroke yesterday. The bronze medal of the day for KIIT University was claimed by Nilabjaa Ghosh in women 50m butterfly with a time of 29.83s.

Three universities of Odisha have won 10 medals in the ongoing KIUG so far. The 10 medals include three gold, two silver and five bronze. Meanwhile, two Odisha athletes won one gold and one bronze for universities of other states today.

Weightlifter Rima Bhoi, representing Lovely Professional University (Punjab), won the gold medal in women 58kg category with a total lift of 197kg in Bikaner. Swimmer Shubhrant Patra secured the bronze medal for Jain University, Bangalore in men 200 butterfly with a time of 2:11.41 seconds.
