Odisha allrounder Suryakant Pradhan announced his retirement from all formats of cricket today. An aggressive medium pacer and big-hitting batter, Pradhan has had an illustrious career, representing the Odisha State team for many years
across all age-group categories — from Under-16 to the Senior men.
Over the years, 32-year-old Pradhan made significant contributions to Odisha cricket with his consistent performances and dedication. He bagged 197 wickets in 62 First-Class matches with best bowling figures of 7 for 40, and 46 wickets in 35 List A matches with a best of 7 for 39. In the T20 format, he has featured in 52 matches, claiming 47 wickets with notable spells throughout his career.
Pradhan scored 1280 runs, including six fifties in First-Class matches, 193 and 392 runs in List A and T20 games respectively. He made his First-Class debut against Karnataka on November 28, 2013, and played his last First-Class match against Maharashtra on November 13, 2024.
