Odisha Fencing Association (OFA) today announced a 21-member State squad for the 18th Cadet National Fencing Championships 2023-24, scheduled to be held at Sardar Patel Sports Complex in Mehsana, Gujarat from 19 to 22 December 2023.

Accoring to FAO Secretary Debendra Sahoo, the squad, featuring 11 boys and 10 girls, will be accompanied by one manager and three coaches. “The squad has a number of promising talents and they are excited to do their best in the ensuing National championship,’’ said FAO Joint-Secretary Sumit Ranjan Purohit.

ODISHA SQUAD:

Boys: Aditya Sharma, Nishanka Shekhar Patel, Sudeep Naik, Biswajit Naik, Debashish Patel, Manas Padhan, Sameer Parabhue, Gunabanta Nanchhor, Shashanka Shekhar Patel (All Balangir); Ritish Parida (Bhubaneswar), Rohan Das (Cuttack).

GIRLS: Jhilee Seth, Anushmita Nanda, Subhashree Naik, Sarika Patel, Shreeya Shruti Patel, Jharana Seth, Sanskruti Mohanty, Banshika Swain (all Balangir); Jigyasha Mohanty, Adwika Gupta (both Bhubaneswar).
