Swetapadma Dalai and Jigyanshu Sahoo clinched a triple crown each, while Sweta Verma bagged a double in the 16th KDTTA State Ranking Table Tennis Championship, which concluded at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium in KiiT University, Bhubaneswar today.

Swetapadma, a student of Acharya Harihara Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar, won her three titles in under-17, under-19 and women singles events. Cuttack boy Jigyanshu Sahoo won his three titles in under 15, 17 and 19 singles categories.

Cuttack girl Sweta Verma emerged champion in under 11 and 13 singles events. Arush Mania, Jigyanshu Sai Kiran Pradhan, Urja Verma and Samrat Chakraborty were other singles title winners of the four-day championship.

Organised by Khurda District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA), under the aegis of Odisha State Table Tennis Association (OSTTA), and in partnership with KiiT & KISS, the championship was inaugurated by Bhubaneswar North MLA Susanta Rout.

Prizes were distributed by the KDTTA president Suresh Chandra Moharana, Secretary Smruti Ranjan Das, Vice-President PK Samantray, Joint-Secretary Sasanka Sekhar Mohapatra and Treasurer Niranjan Sethy.

U-11 Girls Singles: Sweta Verma (Cuttack) beat Aradhya Sahoo (Cuttack) 3-2 (11-3, 11-8, 7-11, 11-3, 11-7).
