Lawn bowl players of Odisha cornered glory by winning three bronze medals in the 37th National Games, held at Chicalim Multi-Purpose Ground in Vasco, Goa November 1 to 8. Odisha fielded a 12-member team in lawn bowls, which made its debut in the National Games.

Roshni Sahu, Rajeswari Seth, Bishnupriya Bohidar and Padmasinee Putel secured the first bronze medal for Odisha in women fours event on November 4. There was a lull for three days before Odisha captured two more bronze on November 8.

Kailash Majhi, Sourav Ranjan Maharana, Tarini Prasad Nayak and Narasingha Rana claimed one bronze in men fours, while Lalit Sharma pocketed the other in men singles. State Bowling Association Odisha secretary Sumit Ranjan Purohit congratulated the medal winners and thanked the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha for providing all possible support to the Odisha team.
