  Women Inter-Dist T20: Jajpur crowned champions

Jajpur were crowned champions in the OCA Women Inter-District T20 Cricket  Tournament with a stunning 10-wicket win over Bhubaneswar in the final at Ravenshaw Ground-1, Cuttack today. Kajal Jena was the star of the Jajpur win hitting an unbeaten 75.

Jajpur and Bhubaneswar qualified for the final after emerging group toppers in the super league. Bhubaneswar won all of their three matches in Group A, while Jajpur won two and lost one in Group B.

The tournament, featuring 27 teams, started with the preliminary matches from June 19 to July 4. After completion of preliminary league, top six teams qualified for the super league. The eight-team super league, also involving two Rest of Odisha Teams, was played from July 6 to 8.

July 6
(Match 49, Ravenshaw Ground-1): Bhubaneswar 80/8 in 20 overs (GM Alakananda 20; Rasanara Parwain 4/13, Rameswari Naik 2/10) beat Balangir 71/10 in 19.2 overs (Madhuri Mehera 20; GM Alakananda 3/13) by 9 runs. PoM: GM Alakananda.

July 6 (Match 50, Ravenshaw Ground-2): KIIT 87/6 in 20 overs (Kuni Badara 25; Puja Gagrai 2/9) beat Rest of Odisha-A 81/7 in 20 overs (Anjali Singh 42*) by 6 runs. PoM: Barasa R Singh (KIIT).

July 6 (Match 51, Sunshine Ground): Cuttack 91/7 in 20 overs (Monalisha Rout 44*; Suchitra Roy 3/10, Swarnalata Nayak 2/15) beat Jajupr 80/8 in 20 overs (Kajal Jena 24; Bhabani Dhada 2/11, Subhra Nirjharini Swain 2/15) by 11 runs. PoM: Monalisha Rout.

July 6 (Match 52, Bidanasi Ground): Rest of Odisha-B 99/4 in 20 overs (Kusum Tiriya 39*, Ankita Giri 26; D Janaki Reddy 2/13) beat Rourkela 97/7 in 20 overs (Sangeeta Khadia 26, D Janaki Reddy 25) by 2 runs. PoM: Namrata Rathuvanshi (RoI-B).

July 7
(Match 53, Sunshine Ground): Bhubaneswar 65/9 in 20 overs (Sushree Dibyadarshini 23; Laxmipriya Naik 3/11, Kuni Badara 2/9) beat KIIT 59/8 in 20 overs (Laxmipriya Naik 21; Sushree Dibyadarshini 3/8, Priyanka P Sahu 3/19) by 6 runs. PoM: Sushree Dibyadarshini.

July 7
(Match 54, Bidanasi Ground): Balangir 158/2 in 20 overs (Madhuri Meheta 86*, Ananya Mishra 41*) beat Rest of Odisha-A 65/8 in 20 overs (Sarada Mahanand 2/9, Rameswari Naik 2/11) by 93 runs. PoM: Madhuri Meheta.

July 7
