Odisha cager Rahul Barik was today selected to represent a 14-member Indian team in the 4th Asian Men Challenge Cup Volleyball Championship, which is set to be held at Taipei from 8 to 15 July 2023. According to Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA) general secretary Dr Gaganendu Dash, Rahul from Jagatsinghpur is the first Odisha player in 31 years to have been selected in the Senior India men volleyball team.

Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) announced the Indian team after the conclusion of a coaching camp, which was organized by OVA at at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar from 2 June to 4 July 2023. The team would for Taipei tomorrow. VFI president Prof Achyuta Samanta wished success to the Indian team.
