Indian girls team, featuring Aahan from Odisha, won the bronze medal in the ITF Asia Girls 12 & Under Team Competition Finals, held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan from 12 to 17 September 2022. In the play-offs, India beat Chinese Taipei 2-0.
Prachi Malik and Anandita Upadhyay were other two players of the Indian team, which was guided by captain Shivika Burman. Indian girls qualified for the play-offs by finishing second in Group-A league with three wins and one loss. They beat Lebanon, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan by 3-0 identical margin, but lost to Thailand 0-3.
Bhubaneswar girl Aahan played important role in the bronze medal achievement as she won five matches and lost one. Her five wins included four singles and one doubles. Aahan is a pupil of coach Ajay Nishank and trains at Ace Base Tennis Academy, Naharkanta, Bhubaneswar.
