  Subhasmita, Pratik, Suhana, Manish win State titles

Subhasmita Priyadarshini (U-9 Girls), Pratik Kushal Rout (U-9 Open), Suhana Jena (U-19 Girls) and Manish Kumar (U-19 Open) emerged title winners in the Odisha State U-9 and U-19 Chess Championship, which concluded at Srusti Academy of Management in Bhubaneswar today.

Grandmaster Swayams Mishra, All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) President Gobinda Chandra Mohapatra, Treasurer Bhabesh Mohanty, Srusti Academy of Management Chairman Saroj Kumar Sahoo and Director Gangadhar Mishra handed over the trophies at the closing ceremony.
 

Top two finishers of the U-9 competition qualified to represent Odisha in the National U-9 Open & Girls Chess Championship, which is billed to take place in Chhattisgarh from 12 to 22 December 2022.

Similarly, top four finishers of the U-19 State championship became eligible to represent Odisha in the National U-19 Open & Girls Chess Championship, which is scheduled to be held in Maharashtra from 12 to 20 July 2022.

FINAL STANDINGS:

U-9 GIRLS: 1. Subhasmita Priyadarshini (Khordha, 6 pts), 2. Sai Vidhi Tripathy (Cuttack, 5.5), 3. Amruta Priyalaxmi (Khordha, 5), 4. Moukthika Nayak (Khordha, 5), 5. Arnica Dash (Khordha, 4), 6. Aditi Moharana (Khordha, 4), 7. Samina Swain (Cuttack, 4), 8. Sanvi Mishra (Dhenkanal, 3.5), 9. Tanvi Mishra (Dhenkanal, 3.5), 10. Shanvi Sahoo (Cuttack, 3.5).
