  Double crowns for Tanvi, Subhra and Sweety

Tanvi Patri, Subhraketan Mallick and Sweety Pradhan bagged a double each in the OSBA All-Odisha Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament, which concluded at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, KIIT Campus in Bhubaneswar today.

Bhubaneswar girl Tanvi clinched her double crown, winning both the under-15 and under-17 singles titles. Dhenkanal shuttler Subhraketan Mallick emerged champion in under-15 boys doubles and mixed doubles. Rayagada girl Sweety Pradhan claimed her two titles in under-15 girls doubles and mixed doubles.  

Bapun Rout (Bhubaneswar), Shriyansh Jena (Mayurbhanj), Adya Padhi (Bhubaneswar), Mayank Bharadwaj (Balasore), Arpit Panda (Kalahandi) and Gajani Saswat (Koraput) were other title winners in the four-day tournament.

As many as 80 boys and 60 girls participated in the tournament, which was organised by Odisha State Badminton Association (OSBA) in association with Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT).

RESULTS (All Finals):
U-15 Boys Singles:
Bapun Rout (Bhubaneswar) beat Agastya Nayak (Cuttack) 21-17, 21-12.
U-15 Girls Singles: Tanvi Patri (Bhubaneswar) beat Geetashree Dey (Sundargarh) 21-13, 21-8.
U-15 Boys Doubles: Shriyansh Jena (Mayurbhanj) and Subhraketan Mallick (Dhenkanal) beat Bapun Rout (Bhubaneswar) and Divyam Kejriwal (Balangir) 21-15, 21-16.
U-15 Girls Doubles: Adya Padhi (Bhubaneswar) and Sweety Pradhan (Rayagada) beat Nimisha Ojha (Bhubaneswar) and Swati Nayak (Cuttack) 21-18, 21-9.
U-15 Mixed Doubles: Subhraketan Mallick (Dhenkanal) and Sweety Pradhan (Rayagada) beat Shriyansh Jena (Mayurbhanj) and Adya Padhi (Bhubaneswar) 21-14, 21-19.
U-17 Boys Singles: Mayank Bharadwaj (Balasore) beat Shreyansh Parida (Sundargarh) 21-10, 21-18.
U-17 Girls Singles: Tanvi Patri (Bhubaneswar) beat Pragati Parida (Jajpur) 12-21, 21-9, 21-10.
U-17 Boys Doubles: Arpit Panda (Kalahandi) and Gajani Saswat (Koraput) beat Shreyansh Parida and Subham Das (Sundargarh) 14-21, 21-15, 21-19.
