Representing her employers LIC, Odisha WGM Kiran Manisha Mohanty secured 35th position with five points. Yashita Rout (48th with 5 points), Ananya Anamika (66th with 4 pts), Shradha Smaranika Nanda (76th with 3.5 pts), Jayalakshmi Sahoo (80th with 3.5 pts), Pratyasha Jena (82nd with 3.5 pts), Gitashree Biswal (84th with 3.5 pts) and Anantyoya Chatterjee (88th with 3 pts) were other Odisha players in the fray.
A total of 103 players from 22 states, including 11 from host Odisha, participated in the six-day championship. KIIT & KISS founder Prof Achyuta Samanta graced the closing ceremony as chief guest.
Other dignitaries present were: All India Chess Federation Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan, Joint-Secretary Ranjan Mohanty, Odisha Sports Department Joint-Secretary Sailendra Jena, All Odisha Chess Association President Govinda Chandra Mohapatra, Secretary Debabrata Bhatta and Treasurer Bhabesh Mohanty.
