Top-order batsman Subhranshu Senapati will lead a 20-member Odisha Senior Men cricket team in the Ranji Trophy Championship, starting in Ahmedabad from 10th February 2022. The team was announced by Odisha Cricket Association Senior Selection Committee Chairman Pravanjan Mullick in Cuttack today.

Odisha team features five new faces in Anshuman Rath, Rakesh Pattnaik, Prasanta Rana, Ashish Rai and Tarani Sa. However, former captain Biplab Samantray has surprisingly been ignored.

Placed in Elite Group-D, along with Saurashtra, Mumbai and Goa, Odisha are scheduled to play all three of their group league matches in Ahmedabad. Before travelling to Ahmedabad on February 10, Odisha will play a two-day practice match against Baroda at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on February 8 and 9.
