After a hat-trick of wins, Odisha suffered first defeat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy National One-Day Cricket Tournament when they lost to Jammu & Kashmir by 95 runs in their fourth Elite Group-A league match at Dadoji Konddev Stadiumin in Thane today.

Put into bat by Odisha captain Subhranshu Senapati, Jammi & Kashmir made an imposing total of 278 for nine and then dismissed Odisha for 183. Abid Mushtaq was the hero of the Jammu-Kashmir win, bagging five wickets 38 runs. He also scored a breezy 25 off 21 balls.

Aming Odisha players, allronder Abhishek Raut shone with both bat and ball, taking two wickets and top-scoring with 40. Odisha will play their fifth and last league match against Himachal Pradesh on December 14.
