Odisha powerlifters won three medals at the National Benchpress Championship, which was held at Manohar Parikar Indoor Stadium in Madgaon, Goa from 16 to 20 November 2021. The three medals included one silver and two bronze.

According to Odisha Powerlifting Association secretary Hari Prasad Pattanayak, Bhubaneswar powerlifter Suryakant Pradhan secured one bronze medal in senior men 105 kg weight class with a lift of 175 kg, while Dibakar Gochhayat of Cuttack bagged the other bronze in senior men 75 kg category, lifting 150 kg.

Narayan Sethi received the silver medal in master men-3 group. As many as 11 powerlifters represented Odisha in this championship. The Odisha squad was led by Samarendra Routray.
