A group of IAS probationers of 2020 batch visited Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today and interacted with State Sports Department Secretary R Vineel Krishna as part of their four-day winter study tour, which has been sponsored by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, in association with Gopabandhu Academy of Adminstration.

The were probationers apprised by the Sports Secretary about various transformative sports initiatives taken by the Government of Odisha to make the state a world-class hub for sports.

They also visited Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centre and were briefed about the advanced techniques and equipments used in sports science and its essence in the holistic development of an athlete.

The probationers also visited other infrastructure facilities of the iconic stadium, including the main stadium, swimming and complex, weightlifting hall, sport climbing wall, different High Performance Centres and others under construction.
