Odisha won four medals to secure third place in the medal tally of the 39th Senior & 23rd Open Sprints National Rowing Championships at Army Rowing Node in Pune, Maharashtra today. The four medals included two gold, one silver and one bronze.

Among Odia rowers Sonali Swain and Ritu Kaudi bagged gold in womens coxless pair (W2-) while Jharna Hasti, Ashmita Kerketta, Manjula Xess and Harnoor Sidhu secured silver in womens coxless four (W4-). Deepika Xess and Reshma Kumari Minz clinched the bronze in womens double scull (W2X).

All the Odisha rowers belong to SAI SAG Water Sports Centre, Jagatpur, Cuttack. SAI rowers from other States also won medals for Odisha in the ongoing National championships, which are being held from January 3 to 9, under the aegis of Rowing Federation of India.

Gold: Sonali Swain, Ritu Kaudi, W2-F1 (Women coxless pair, W2-), 08:43.2.
Gold: Karanbir Singh Bhinder, Shagandeep Singh (Civil Men double sccull, MCV2X), 7:04.1
Silver: Harnoor Sidhu, Jharna Hasti, Ashmita Kerketta, Manjula Xess (Women coxless four, W4-), 08:03.9.
Bronze: Deepika Xess, Reshma Kumari Minz (Women double scull, W2X (Women double scull), 08:54.8.
