  Paramount lift trophy in Sidhanta Memorial Cricket League

Host Paramount Sportings emerged champions in the 2nd Sidhanta Patnaik Memorial U-13 Cricket League, defeating Pragati Sporting in the final at Paramount Sportings Ground in Bhubaneswar today. Paramount captain Sidharth Shankar Behera was adjudged Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of 70.

State Science & Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda graced the closing ceremony as chief guest. Bhubaneswar Athletic Association Secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija, Paramount Sportings President Pratap Jena and Cricket Secretary Ashok Patra were present on the occasion.

The tournament, featuring eight club sided from twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was organised by Paramouont Sportings. Bhubaneswar Athletic Association Secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija graced the opening ceremony as chief guest earlier on December 26.

RESULTS:

December 26 (Match 1): Juvenile Cricket Academy, Cuttack 219/7 in 35 overs (Baibhav Mohanty 94; Koushik Dutta 39*, Baishno Mohanty 32) beat Greens Cricket Association, Bhubaneswar 40/10 in 17 overs (Debraj Sagar 4/10) by 179 runs. Player of the Match: Baibhav Mohanty.

December 27
(Match 2): Town Club, Bhubaneswar 75/10 in 27 overs (Satweek Raj Subudhi 4/4, Ayush Rout 3/27) lost to Paramount Sportings, Bhubaneswar 76/0 in 9 overs (Prantik Priyanshu Nayak 36*, Swagat Sourav Mishra 23*) by 10 wkts. PoM: Satweek Raj Subudhi.
