KIIT University students Sneha Soren, Moti Jani and Aparajita Bhuyan won one medal each in the All-India Inter-University Weightlifting (Women) Championship, which is being held Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (AP) from 27 December 2021. All three lifters also qualified for Khelo India University Games.
International lifter Sneha bagged gold medal 49kg category, lifting 73kg in snatch and 93kg in clean & jerk for a total of 166kg on the opening day. A first-year BA student of KIIT University, Sneha is currently honing her skill at the National Camp in NSNIS, Patiala.
