Capital city Bhubaneswar received a lovely Republic Day gift from East Coast Railway with inauguration of an indoor stadium here yesterday. Located near the zone’s outdoor stadium, the East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium was formally unveiled by ECoR General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi. With a seating capacity of 1720, the indoor stadium has the facility to stage competitions in basketball, basketball, gymnastics, handball, table tennis, volleyball and many more indood games.

Besides the 36 meter x25 meter wooden floor, the stadium features many more facilities, including 17 hostel rooms, four dormitories, one conceference room, one VIP rest room, one VIP gallery, one announcement room, one changing room each for gents and ladies, one first aid room and one canteen room.
