Chand Club emerged champions in the one-day football tournament, defeating Odisha Police 3-2 in the final, via penalty shoot out at P M Academy ground in Cuttack today. The champion side received a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

As many as eight teams participated in the tournament, which was organised by Barabati Sporting Club. Azad Hind Club, Jay Durga Club, Maa Mangala Club, Bidanasi Club (all Cuttack); AG Odisha and Yazdani Club-73 (both Bhubaneswar) were other six teams in the fray.

Cuttack District Congress Committee president Mohammad Moquim inaugurated the tournament, while Odisha Olympic Association secretary Asirbad Behera handed over the trophy at the closing function.
