Lalbagh Club emerged champions in the FAO Second Division League after finishing at the top of the super league table here at Barabati Stadium earlier this week. The champion club, which qualified to compete in next year’s First Division League, received the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000 today, while Royal Club became richer by Rs 15,000 as runners-up.

Earlier, Rovers Club, Central Rice Research Institute, Lalbag Club and Royal Club qualified for the super league after completion of preliminary league, which commenced at Satyabrata Stadium on July 26.

Organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the Second Division League featured a total of 13 teams, who played the preliminary league after being divided into four groups. Following are the results.
