Tousif Haque (Cuttack) and Samartha Prusty (Bhubaneswar) winning double crowns has become a practice in state table tennis championships of Orissa. This year`s edition of the Inter-District and State Championship, which concluded at Driems Sports Academy in Tangi (Cuttack) today, was no different. The only difference was that Bhubaneswar girl Anjali Agarwal emerged as a new star of the sport in Orissa, bagging a ‘double’. Subhendu Dutta and Ashis Agarwal won the remaining two singles titles in the three-day championship. State Sports Director P K Pradhan, Orissa Olympic Association secretary Ashirbad Behera and host DRIEMS chairman Pramod Chandra Rath gave away the trophies and cash prizes (Rs 20,000) in the presence of Orissa State Table Tennis Association president D P Bagchi and secretary R K Parida.
